Heli Pub Tour - Half Day

Does the sound of birds’-eye views of the Tablelands while being flown from pub to pub pique your interest? Then we’ve got the ultimate afternoon planned just for you.

On our half-day Heli Pub Tour, take in the stunning sights of Walshs’ Pyramid, Copperlode Dam and Barron Gorge as your expert pilot flies you to two classic FNQ watering holes. Leaving Cairns and running for 3.5 hours, this epic tour is not to be missed.

Minimum 2 people required, maximum 6-10 depending on helicopter availability. Get a group of 6 people together and you’ll receive discounted mates rates!

Tour time: approximately 3.5 hours  (11:00am – 2:30pm), flight time approximately 30 minutes. A full day tour is also available.

The Mountain View Hotel

Depart Cairns and head south past Walshs Pyramid, a distinct peak with a pyramidal appearance and on to the first stop, The Mountain View Hotel – a classic old Queenslander pub located on the Gillies highway at the start of the range.

The Peeramon Hotel

Airborne again, you’re soon flying over the top of the impressive Gillies Range and past Crater Lakes National Park. You will soon touch down at the pub number two, The Peeramon Hotel in Yungaburra. Enjoy a game of pool as you look out at the beautiful countryside in one of the Tableland’s oldest and most iconic pubs.

Barron Gorge

Hop back in the chopper for your flight back to Cairns, where you will enjoy spectacular views of Barron Gorge and its tumbling falls along the way. Enjoy transfers back home or to your choice of bars or pubs in town.
